A massive ‘Free Health Checkups, Cancer Detection Camp and Blood Donation Camp’
Mumbai: Distinguished social institution, ‘Ekata Manch’ and ‘Children Welfare Center High School’ successfully organized a colossal and grand ‘Free Health Checkups, Cancer Detection Camp and Blood Donation Camp’, which included cancer and blood donation drive on 14th April, 2017 at Children Welfare Center High School, Yari Road, Andheri (West), Mumbai.
More than 150 doctors from Seven Hills Hospital, Raheja Hospital, B S S Hospital and other government hospitals were present and examined more than 2000 patients.In this camp, eye checkup and distribution of spectacles, blood tests, sickness related to children and women, dental checkup, ENT (ear, nose and throat), ECG,Skin checkup,Gynaec checkup, cancer tests and various other ailments were examined free by different doctors. Also a blood donation drive was held.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ajay Kaul, President of Ekata Manch said, “Our institution always organizes all kinds of free health camps for the benefit of the people. This is our 10th year and as a noble service we want more and more people benefit from this drive. It is good and helpful if any illness is detected earlier and more people get right and proper treatment in the nick of time.”
Mr. Prashant Kashid, Executive Chairman of Children Welfare Center High School, added, “Our mission is not to host normal health camps. Our aim is to treat all kinds of sickness and diseases including detecting of cancer at its early stage and providing medicine and treatment to those persons absolutely free. We also distribute free spectacles too. There are many who cannot afford and through these free camps we want to help and provide treatment to as many people as we can.”
Dignitaries like Dr. Bharati Lavhekar (BJP MLA of Versova constituency, Mumbai Suburban), Prabhag Samiti President Yogiraj Dabhadkar, Ward-59’s Shiv Sena Corporator Pratima Shailesh Khopade, Ex (Earlier) Standing Committee Chairman Shailesh Phanse and many others made their presence felt.————- Sanjay Sharma Raj(P.R.O.)
