Today’s artist Shusri Shubhra Talegaonkar is an Indian Classical vocalist of Hindustani music of Gwalior Gharana hailing from Agra, Uttar Pradesh. She is one of the most prominent young musicians of Indian Classical Hindustani music in recent times. She is the daughter of renowned musician Pt. Keshav Talegaonker who taught her early lessons of music, and granddaughter of legendary musician Late Pt. Raghunath Talegaonker. she studied under the tutelage her father and mother and carved her talent to a new level. Notably, she completed her Sangeet Bhaskar from Pracheen Kala Kendra. She is also a graded artist in Hindustani classical, ghazals, and bhajan genre with Akashvani (AIR).
Today’s baithak commenced with Rag Bageshri . She chose Madhya laya Vilambit taal bandish with bols “ ka se kahun man ki battiyan “ followed by madhya laya teen taal bandish set to bols “ javo javo javo re murari ”. Then she doled out with a beautiful Tarana composed by his father and Guru Sh. Keshav Talegaonkar followed by rag Des based traditional composition “Sawan ki ritu aayi” . She concluded with soulful traditional Kajri “ set to bols “Boondiyan barsan lagi o Rama more angane mein “ composed by her Grandfather and eminent Vocalist Pt. Raghunath Talegaonkar.
She was accompanied by fine artists like famous musician Pt Keshav Talegaonkar on tabla renowned vocalist Vidushi Pratibha Talegaonkar on Harmonium.
