The 3rd Brahmaputra Literally Festival Kick-starts in Guwahati, Assam
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the third edition of Brahmaputra Literary Festival at the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra
The three-day literary event, which kick-started on Saturday, has been jointly organised by Assam Government and Pramod Kalita secretory publication board of Assam saw a huge assembly of young literary enthusiasts and authors from across the globe.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Cheif Minister Sonowal said,
“This year’s festival is very interesting specially for young writers and this is what the young generation should realise and I believe and even our prime minister believes that Work is Wokship and to discover work within yourself tou have to work hard with dedication, discipline and honesty.
God will only appear within you if you work hard with dedication and honesty”
Further he added,
Next year onwards we will be introducing two new awards, one will be national award along with 10 lakh rupees prize for Brahmaputra literally festival and second one will be for young writers with cash prize for five lakh rupees”
The Cheif minister also added a very important point her and asked writers to focus more and try to write whatever appears in their minds and extract experience out of hard work and dedication and make this festival a beautiful gift.
“Assam is one the most beautiful state in the world and for the young generation this festival is very exciting and jumpful and even our honorable prime minister has cleared it already to make India proud and even made his agenda very clear for the people of the world that India will be become the number one nation in the world and there is no doubt about it, But this is only possible because of the youth of the country and India is the yougest nation in the world in terms of youth. The 21st century will only be a youth development century and therefore they have a very important role to play in the society.
Dignitaries and delicates from all over the globe made their presence felt at the festival including Sri Lanka, Singapore, Vietnam, United States Of America, Australia, France, Indonesia and many others and the chief minister welcomed them.
