Mumbai: The 34th anniversary of the annual day celebration of Film Studios Setting & Allied Mazdoor Union will be held on the Republic Day, 26^th

January 2018 at Chitrakoot Grounds, Janki Centre, Behind Yash Raj Studios, Andheri-Link Road, Andheri (West), Mumbai-400 053. The grand and spectacular function will commence from 4:00 p.m. in the evening. BJP MLA Ram Kadam is the Chairman of this Union and Gangeshwarlal Shrivastav a.k.a Sanju is its General Secretary. The Film Studios Setting & Allied Mazdoor Union has more than 43,500 members and the biggest labour trade union in Asia.

These days many fire incidents in studios are being reported. Speaking on account of these, the General Secretary, Gangeshwarlal Shrivastav a.k.a. Sanju said, “All the shut-down industry units are being converted into film studios for lucrative profits. But less attention is paid towards the safety norms and guidelines. Apart from the filmmakers, the television serial and web series producers turn a blind eye.They not only exploit our labours from the various departments. There is no safety,nor proper attention is paid to workers’ food nor their wages which are undercut and also not paid in time. There is no particular system and we are working it out with the government to streamline the policy for our workers. All these problems and issues will be minutely scrutinized and streamlined during our meeting with them.”

The union has seen a lot of progress and development since Chairman MLA Ram Kadam and General Secretary Gangeshwarlal Shrivastav a.k.a Sanju have come on board. As of today, all our members are taken care… Be it their daughters’ marriage, medical issues, retirement pension plans, education fund for the workers’ children and many more have been provided. Both the Chairman MLA Ram Kadam and General Secretary Gangeshwarlal Shrivastav a.k.a. Sanju has appealed to all the members to come for this 34^th annual day celebrations and show their solidarity and making the grand event successful.

Special guests of honours who have been invited for the annual day celebrations include celebrated actors like Salman Khan, Shatrughan Sinha, Gajendra Chauhan, Sushant Singh, Amit Behl, Sahila Chadha, Tina Ghai, Rajpal Yadav and many more. Politicians like Kirit Somaiya, Former MP of U.P. Dhananjay Singh and many others have consented to be present. Actor, Politicians, Socialites, Businessmen, Philanthropist, Friends, Well-Wishers, Members of the Press like be attending the event held at the open, sprawling Chitrakoot Grounds. It will have all the basic and civic amenities including facilities of Fire Brigade, Ambulance and other necessary aspects.

The Union’s dashing Chairman MLA Ram Kadam, General Secretary Gangeshwarlal Shrivastav, Senior Vice Chairman Mohammed Sharafuddin, Vice Chairman Jagdish Patel, Joint Secretaries Rajmangal Yadav and Rakesh Maurya, Treasurer Bhagwati Prasad Shukla, Advisor Dinesh Chaturvedi (Daddu) and many other office bearers will make their presence felt at this event.
