Her big Bollywood debut, Yash Raj Films’ Mohabbatein (2000) made her the household name and there was no looking back for Shamita Shetty. With several consequential roles later in successful films, Shamita carved a niche for herself as an actress in Bollywood.
Shamita gained more popularity by switching to television and participating in the reality show, Bigg Boss Season 3. Last year, the gorgeous actress showcased her dancing skills through the popular dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded.

Considering her increasing popularity among the television audience, Shamita has been inundated with several television offers and she is also open for crossover films.
“I had not planned my career. Things just happened to work out this way. I got my first break in Mohabbatein. After that, I didn’t get any interesting offers, so I took a course in interior designing. But it’s an exciting time to work in films and television because a lot of quality work is being done.”
“I haven’t yet had the chance to explore my talent,” adds Shamita, who is reading a few scripts and is eager to experiment with all kinds of genres and platforms, whether television, web series or films.
