MANJEET UPPAL – Singer, Composer, Actor & Producer
Manjeet Uppal needs no introduction. He is a playback singer for Pollywood and Bollywood and endowed with gripping voice, he has successfully communicated around the world.
He has captivated the audience with his soulful tone on the stage wherever he has performed. Manjeet made a foray into the world of entertainment at the young age of 16 and hasn’t since never looked back. He created his own group under the name of MUSIC FEVER ENTERTAINMENT and subsequently In 2001, ventured into a new series of successful public concerts across North America.
He has performed over thousands of shows and specializes in Punjabi, Hindi, Pop, Rock, Ghazals and Sufi folk music. His distinctive style allows all diverse genres with a blend of old and new songs. He holds the distinction of having graciously performed for many charitable organizations such as Sick Kids Hospital in Vancouver, and other related Cancer events. He has also performed at fund raising events for the Toronto police department and many more.
Manjeet has as well performed at the IFFA Buzz (International Film Fare Awards) in Brampton, Chin Picnic in CNE Toronto and privileged to be performing at the second largest South Asian festival Carrassauga in May 2016. He has collaborated with artists like Ustad Professor Parmjeet Singh, Ustad Gulam Ali Saab, Ustad Sukhvinder Singh, Arvinder Singh, Rahul Seth, Gippy Grewal and Sherry Mann. As a talented singer he has recorded three albums & numerous Single Tracks besides organizing his own Bollywood events.
Besides being busy with singing he has also forayed into the acting arena in Hindi film”Two billion hostages” under the directorial of Ziad Khan. Recently, he has composed and rendered the song “Dil Tere te” for the English film “Street Soldiers” jointly produced by Lily Ahluwalia and Jay Walia which got released at TIFF the Toronto International Film festival on February 26, 2016. Manjeet has rendered a Punjabi song “Mehr Kri” for the Punjabi film “Azaadi”, “ The Freedom by Tarsem Singh Bhatti, directed by Devi Sharma. & Editing by Raj Maan and also rendered the theme song for the Hindi movie “Kya Farak Padta Hai” a film by Naresh Jassal releasing on March 11, 2016. His forthcoming film is a Canadian short film titled “DESTINY” written & directed by Navdeep Bobby Jhaji.
