Day 1- Founder of Global Dance Festival -Bailamos, Neeraj Maskara brings the international dance festival “BAILAMOS 2016” to Mumbai
3 days of nonstop dance action, with a weekend of high energy competitions, intensive workshops, breath taking performances and crazy parties!! 8th April, 2016 in Mumbai- The biggest dance festival of India “Bailamos 2016” commenced today. The dance festival bought different dance forms under one roof.
Neeraj Maskara says “What an opening! The 1st day was a house full of dance lovers. The performances were appreciated and loved. The kind of response we have received on the 1st day was overwhelming; we are expecting the dance festival to be a big hit”
“Bailamos 2016” – A dance festival encompassing a dance championship along with the Red Carpet weekend. Spanning three days from April 8th Friday, 9th Saturday & 10th Sunday 2016 at Renaissance Mumbai Hotel and Convention Centre, “Bailamos 2016” will be inclusive of over 100 shows, 6 massive parties and 60 dance workshops. Showcasing the art of dance in all its forms, this programme has been designed for first timers to the trained dancers in various forms.
The first of its kind dance competition, where the best of dance talent from around the country and rest of Asia will compete for a grand prize and title. What makes “Bailamos 2016” special and unique is the format and judging criteria from other competitions. The jury will comprise of nothing less than celebrity artists who have won world championships in their respective dance styles. Winners stand to win an all expenses paid, confirmed invitation to perform at some of the world’s top dance festivals along with various other prizes.

In October 2015, World renowned Salsa dancer Neeraj Maskara won the 1st annual lifetime achievement award at the Berlin Salsa Congress in Berlin. One of the most sought after Jazz Ballet and Salsa dancers in Europe, Neeraj Maskara is also the founder of a global level dance platform Bailamos. This festival will take place in Mumbai for the first time in the month of April 2016. Neeraj will be joined by a veteran in the field of dance, Terence Lewis who is also the events brand ambassador.
Neeraj Maskara has taught and performed at more than 500 dance festivals in 80 countries around the world since 2003. With experiences spanning over a decade, he is an inspiration for budding passionate performers all over the world. Sharing this passion for dance and the art of performing are many other such accomplished international award winning artists who will be joining the jury panel for Bailamos.
